OpenAI đang hoàn thiện Agents in ChatGPT — codename Hermes. Đây là bước đưa Agent Builder (công bố tại DevDay 2025 cho developer) thẳng vào ChatGPT cho end-user. Leak UI của Tibor Blaho lộ 2 dòng chốt: "Keep work moving 24/7 with agents" và "Start with a proven workflow — Pick a template". Tính năng gồm: studio visual builder, thư viện templates, schedules chạy nền 24/7, option chạy agent ngay trong Slack, gắn apps / skills / files / memory / instructions. Chưa GA, chưa có pricing — có khả năng launch trong event cuối năm 2026.

Tối 20/04/2026, Tibor Blaho — cây leak quen thuộc của giới theo dõi OpenAI — đăng screenshot work-in-progress từ ChatGPT client. Các strings trong UI xác nhận một trải nghiệm gọi là Agents, bên trong có:

  • Agents Studio — khu vực build agent dạng visual canvas.
  • Templates — "Start with a proven workflow", bộ template sẵn cho task phổ biến.
  • Schedules — agent chạy nền theo lịch, hỗ trợ tagline "24/7".
  • Use your agent in Slack — expose agent ra workspace Slack như một bot.
  • Add apps, skills, files, memory, instructions — các tầng tùy biến ngang Custom GPTs nhưng sâu hơn rất nhiều.

TestingCatalog thêm một mảnh ghép khớp: trong Agent Builder đã có nút Publish to ChatGPT, redirect sang ChatGPT với URL duy nhất cho từng workflow. Nghĩa là dev build agent ở Agent Builder → 1 click đẩy thẳng vào store trong ChatGPT cho user xài. Hai phía (end-user studio + developer publish) đang hội tụ.

Why it matters

Custom GPTs (2023) chỉ là prompt + knowledge files tĩnh, không chạy nền, không schedule, không gọi multi-step tools tự tin. ChatGPT Agent mode (2025) mạnh nhưng là single-session — bạn ngồi nhìn nó browse, xong là hết.

Hermes lấp khoảng giữa: persistent agent có identity, schedule, connectors, skills, và publish được. Đây là lần đầu OpenAI gom full stack agent — từ builder đến distribution đến execution runtime — vào một sản phẩm mass market. Với solo operator và SMB, stack "Zapier + Make + n8n + vài prompt hack" có nguy cơ bị nuốt gọn: mọi thứ nằm trong ChatGPT, khỏi duct-tape.

Limitations & pricing

Hermes chưa GA tại thời điểm leak (21/04/2026) — UI strings đã có trong client nhưng nhiều nhánh publish chưa operational. Apps dashboard còn restricted cho partners chọn lọc. Pricing chưa công bố — dự đoán tier hoá kiểu GPTs: free hạn chế, Plus / Business / Enterprise mở schedule frequency cao hơn và connectors nâng cao.

Rủi ro đáng lưu ý: connectors = tăng attack surface. OpenAI vừa phải patch một lỗ hổng data exfiltration trong ChatGPT tháng 3/2026. Long-running agent cũng có thể đụng hard usage limits mà community Codex đã phản ánh.

Theo precedent 12 Days of OpenAI 2024, nhiều khả năng Hermes ra trong event cuối năm 2026, có thể kèm image generation model mới và Apps directory (GPT Store v2). Skill marketplace và mở rộng connectors nhiều khả năng theo sau.
