TL;DR

Hermes TUI HUD là một keyboard-first operator console cho Hermes Agent — agent framework mã nguồn mở của Nous Research. Tác giả Shane Robinett (GitHub: GumbyEnder) công bố trên X tuần này. Build bằng Textual (Python TUI), exposed 11 tab — Sessions, Skills, Config YAML, Cron, Logs, Analytics, Env… — qua chính các Hermes Web UI APIs có sẵn, không thêm data layer. What's new

Hermes Agent vốn đã có một TUI native (build trên React Ink) — nhưng đó là chat surface: stream Chain-of-Thought, slash commands, tool execution. TUI HUD đi hướng khác: operator console. Bạn không chat trong nó. Bạn dùng nó để vận hành toàn bộ runtime xung quanh agent — duyệt sessions, bật/tắt skills, sửa config YAML inline, lên lịch cron, tail logs, xem analytics token spend, set env var — tất cả qua phím.

Triết lý design rất rõ trong README: "Use only what is already native to Hermes Agent and Hermes Web UI". Không tạo abstraction song song, không cache lệch trạng thái, không cần migration khi Hermes update.

Why it matters

Hệ sinh thái Hermes Agent đang phân hoá rất nhanh: Hermes WebUI cho mobile/browser, Hermes HUD đọc filesystem làm consciousness monitor, Hermes Gate quản lý nhiều remote session… TUI HUD chiếm chỗ mission-control dashboard còn trống — read-write, single-instance, qua API chính thức.

Với người chạy Hermes locally hoặc trên server lab, TUI HUD biến mọi thao tác ops thành một keystroke: Ctrl+P mở command palette, g đổi theme, e edit contextually, f search sessions. Không alt-tab. Không browser tab leaks RAM.

  • Auth chỉ password (kế thừa Hermes Web UI) — chưa có token rotation hay SSO

What's next

Roadmap chưa được tác giả publish chính thức. Quan sát hệ sinh thái Hermes Agent (TUI native React Ink, WebUI mobile, Gate multi-host, HUD consciousness monitor), khả năng cao TUI HUD sẽ overlap dần với Gate ở mảng multi-instance / remote management hoặc bổ sung MCP server browser, audit log replay, và more theme packs từ community.
